Kawasaki Z e-1 and Ninja e-1: The New Electric 125s for 2024
The Z e-1 and the Ninja e-1 have a compact electric motor that delivers 12 hp of peak power and 40.5 Nm of torque. They can reach a top speed of 99 km/h, thanks to the e-Boost feature that gives an extra boost of speed. The motor is also smooth and quiet, making the ride more enjoyable.
The bikes have two lithium-ion battery packs, each with a capacity of 30 Ah. The batteries can be charged in 3.7 hours, and they offer a range of 72 km (according to WMTC-Norm). The batteries are also removable, so you can swap them or charge them at home or at work.
The bikes have four standard riding modes: Road, Rain, Eco, and Enduro. You can also get the optional Riding Modes Pro, which adds Dynamic, Dynamic Pro, and Enduro Pro.
These modes let you adjust the power delivery, regenerative braking, and traction control to suit your preferences and the road conditions.
The bikes have a steel trellis frame that makes them light and agile. The suspension is also tuned for comfort and stability, with a telescopic fork at the front and a Uni-Trak shock at the rear. The brakes are disc brakes with dual-piston calipers, and they are equipped with ABS.
The bikes have a sporty and futuristic design, with silver and matte lime green colors. The Z e-1 has a naked bike look, while the Ninja e-1 has a fairing that gives it a more aerodynamic shape. The bikes also have LED matrix headlights, a digital dashboard, and a luggage plate.
